  1. You are living in dreamland if you think a second rate club like Liverpool are going anywhere under an unproven manager

    1. Brendan Rogers may still be unknown to many casual fans of football because he had so far coached smaller clubs in the past. Jose Maurinho was also an unknown before he was brought to the limelight when Porto became the champion of Europe. Who was Pep Guardiola before Barcelona? At the start of the just ended season, Chelsea was struggling in the premiership before Roberto di Mateo took over. Chelsea ended up champion not only in the FA cup but the most prestigious of them all, the UEFA Champions League. I also have doubts about Brendan but I am willing to give him the chance to prove himself. Besides, Liverpool is not a second rate club in the premiership. They are one the most successful clubs in Europe, and their achievements is at par if not better than Man U in England. It is just unfortunate that they were fighting to stay out of the relegation the last time out rather than a place in the champions league next season. Just sayin'....

  2. Agree completely my2centsworth;I don't know where mister anonymous thinks he is coming from but I too would certainly give Brendan Rodgers time. He seems in no way distracted by the challenge that awaits him and in fact he seems to relish it. It is possible that supporters of other clubs fear a Liverpool revival?
We are still the fourth biggest selling football jersey in the world(1. Madrid; 2.United; 3. barcelona;) which is not bad considering the three above us have had sustained success over the last number of years.
As I've alluded to in a previous post Rodgers has made the right connection, has recognised the weight of expectation at Liverpool and appears ready for the challenge. If anything this could be the beginning of a great adventure for Liverpool.
